ABOUT KEM

Kem is regarded as the R&B pillar of Motown. Having done exemplary work in R&B, soul, and jazz, his music has captivated many listeners across the globe. Rising to prominence in the early 2000s, Kem found his breakthrough in 2003 upon releasing his debut album Kemistry. The album, released through Motown Records, peaked at number 14 on the R&B charts and sold over half a million copies, earning Kem his first gold certification. Kemistry spawned the singer’s megahit “Love Calls,” which also went to number 1 on the R&B singles chart. He would soar even higher for his next several releases. His follow up effort Album II was released two years later. Album II soared to number 1 on the R&B chart and peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200.
