The best-selling music artist, Cher, had a musical production dedicated to the story of her life, and it premiered in 2018. The Cher Show A New Musical takes on the challenge of re-telling the story of Cher’s rise to fame in just under two hours. It includes multiple musical numbers, including performances of her best hits “I Got You Babe” and “Believe.” The production features three versions of Cher: “Babe” from the 1950 to the 1960s, “Lady” from the 1970s, and “Star” from the 1980s to the 1990s. The three Cher’s share one common goal: to overcome the challenges brought upon her life by stardom. And, of course, let’s not forget the show includes two of Cher’s love interests.
The Cher Show would not be a show about Cher if it didn’t include fancy bedazzled outfits. True enough, the costume designer, Gabriella Slade, racked the bling up to astronomical levels to ensure the costumes were truly Cher. You’ve never seen this much bling since Cher in the 90s. Cher being Cher, there is also a wide array of wigs included in the show. The show could not get any closer to the star than it already is!
